Habits are fascinating, some support us, and others persistently limit us! Some people find themselves relying on alcohol, cigarettes, fast food, drugs, to get some sort of kick. Others have excessive tidying, door checking, and hand washing habits that are currently labelled as OCD. The one thing these habits have in common is they are unconscious. Your unconscious learned how to do the behaviour and at the time of learning there was a benefit for it. The behaviour then became a routine and then a habit is created.
