Spiral Dynamics

Afternoon all! Here’s an interesting thread Michael posted on the NLP Academy facebook page, take a look.

In on of the NLP Academy facebook course groups someone asked if there is a relationship between NLP and Spiral Dynamics? Here is my response – we didn’t cover Spiral Dynamics because it isn’t NLP. It’s about as far removed from NLP as you can get. Spiral Dynamics is built on the Clare Graves value system, which assumes each person is at certain values level based on their behaviour ath cultural/system level they are operating. Cowan and Beck (founders of Sprial Dynamics) added the notion memes and colours for each category. If you like using fairytales to code behaviours Spiral Dynamics is a good myth.
