Course Details

This course, over three days, covers the theories and science of hypnosis as well as practical applications such as self-hypnosis and how to conduct hypnotic processes with others. You will be learning about the different forms of hypnosis, why it works, how it works, and also the exceptions for hypnosis applications.

Hypnosis is the natural resting state of the mind, where there is a shift in consciousness from everyday rapid and invasive thoughts to a relaxed yet highly aware state known as trance. The trance state is associated with the unconscious mind, it is a naturalistic state and highly effective for problem-solving, habit-breaking, easing stress and anxiety, and assessing our creativity.

Ancient tribes and Indigenous people routinely entered hypnotic states of trance guided by shamans for insightful thinking and also for health and well-being purposes. The Ancient Egyptians built sleep temples and used hypnotic processes for those who were unwell mentally or physically. In the modern-day world, ruled by schedules and technology many people are struggling and losing their connection with themselves. In this Foundations Skills Course, you not only will be learning about a very interesting topic, but you will also be rebuilding the connection with your deeper mind, for your own personal development and overall well-being.
