I thought I’d share my little secret London hideaway with those of you who might need to book accommodation in central London - it’s a very nice ‘apartment’ hotel in Pimlico (2 mins from Pimlico tube and 8 mins from Victoria).
In summer, it’s prohibitively expensive but out of season you can get good deals from about £80 a night. Prices go up as they get fuller, and laterooms usually is more expensive than booking online via their site. They also offer apartments with two bedrooms from £130 and triple room apartments as well. Some apartments have living rooms and at a push, could sleep someone in there, cutting the cost further. Breakfast is usually extra but as I recall, the breakfast is not in the hotel per se, rather, an adjoining building I think. But that might have changed.
It’s still not uber cheap but it’s very nice and there’s a gym onsite too. A cab from Covent Garden/Holborn would probably set you back about £15. It’s on the main Victoria line and buses go that way too.
